Free Quick Pick Ticket Wins Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot
January 26, 2007 – There were more than 5,500 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Thursday, January 25, drawings. Among them was a $66,000 Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot winner. The winning ticket was sold at Kwik Shop, 4750 Calvert in Lincoln.
Wayne Wilde of Lincoln wasted no time claiming the jackpot, stopping by Nebraska Lottery headquarters the next morning. As he claimed his prize shortly after 10:30 am, Wilde told Nebraska Lottery officials that he still couldn’t believe he had won.
Wilde received a free quick-pick ticket from a previous play at the Kiwk Shop convenience store in Lincoln. The ticket matched the winning numbers 11, 13, 27, 28, 32 for the $66,000 jackpot.
Wilde learned of his win by checking the numbers in the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper. He plans to use his winnings to pay bills and family expenses.
