Last Five Truck Contestants Chosen

July 16, 2004--After five preliminary drawings, 25 people have been selected as semi-finalists from among more than 39,000 entries in the Tough Truck Giveaway second chance contest for Nebraska Lottery $2 Scratch games.

The semi-finalists will participate in the Tough Truck Giveaway on July 31 during the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball game. Through a series of elimination rounds at Lincoln's Haymarket Park that evening, the field of 25 will be narrowed to two. At the conclusion of the game that night, one of those two will have won The Grand Prize Ford F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 truck (the centerpiece of the Truck$ & Buck$ game) and $100 worth of free E-10 Unleaded, courtesy of the Nebraska Ethanol Coalition. The second place winner will win $5,000. The third through sixth place winners will win $2,000, $1,500, $1,000 and $500, respectively. The remaining nineteen semi-finalists will receive Nebraska Lottery prize packages.

The fourth set of five semi-finalists was drawn on June 25 from among 7,708 entries:

The third set of five semi-finalists was drawn on June 4 from among 7,787 entries:

Greg Smith, Lincoln
Ray Brinkman, Nebraska City
Sarah Wells, Lincoln

The second set of five semi-finalists was drawn on May 14 from among 8,950 entries:

Jonnie Stalsberg, Seward
Joan Olson, Norfolk

The first five semi-finalists were drawn on April 23 from among 3,955 entries:

Patricia Cunningham, Fairbury

Entering the Tough Truck Giveaway required submission of $10 worth of non-winning $2 Scratch tickets from any combination of eligible $2 Scratch games.
