Omaha Man Wins $86,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

August 3, 2012 – Scot Ballan of Omaha recently won $86,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Ballan purchased his winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at Hy-Vee, 9707 Q Street in Omaha. The five-play quick pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (6, 22, 23, 29, 32) from the July 11 drawing for the $86,000 jackpot.

Two hundred and fifty-one Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on July 17, Ballan told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was “excited” to win $86,000. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
