$10,000 Mega Millions Prize for Sidney Woman

June 16, 2010 – Cynthia Heilbrun of Sidney recently won $10,000 playing Mega Millions from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 7,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, June 8, drawings. Among these winners was Heilbrun, who purchased her winning Mega Millions ticket at Git 'N Split, 1912 10th Avenue in Sidney. The quick pick ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (12, 18, 28, 48, 54) and the Mega Ball number (6) from the June 8 draw for $10,000.

Heilbrun is the third person to claim a $10,000 Mega Millions prize since the Nebraska Lottery began offering the game on March 20, 2010.

Mega Millions is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 42 lotteries across the United States. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Mega Millions are 1 in 689,065, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 40.
