$22,000 2by2 Prize for Kearney Woman

February 4, 2010 – Monica Weatherwax of Kearney recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 11,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, December 29, drawings. Among these winners was Weatherwax, who purchased her winning 2by2 ticket at Kearney Liquors, 1107 2nd Avenue in Kearney. The ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (10, 23) and white ball numbers (2, 24) from the December 29 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Two hundred and seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on January 28, Weatherwax told Nebraska Lottery officials that she learned she had won after returning to the store to check her ticket. She stated that she was “excited” to win the $22,000 top prize. Weatherwax plans to invest her winnings for the future.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.59.
