November 6, 2008 – Faron Hines of Waco recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.
Hines is a regular Nebraska Lottery player who purchases Powerball tickets every week. For the November 1 drawing, he purchased a single quick pick ticket at Bronco Spur Convenience, 101 Highway 34 in Utica. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (4, 6, 26, 40, 41) and the Powerball number (15) from the November 1 drawing for a corresponding prize of $10,000.

Hines wasted no time claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters on Monday, November 3. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won the $10,000 Powerball prize after visiting another Nebraska Lottery retailer and checking his ticket. Hines plans to use his winnings for some home improvements.
The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
