2026 Responsible Gaming Training

As members of the gaming industry, I think we all know that most of our customers play responsibly. However, gambling does come with a risk. Some people may spend more time, money and effort gambling than they can afford.

Any one of us might someday find ourselves talking to someone who has a gambling problem, is afraid they might be starting to gamble too much, or who is concerned about a friend or family member. That’s why we have developed responsible gambling training to help you be prepared should this situation arise.

This online training course is mandatory for Lottery & Charitable Gaming employees and is strongly encouraged for employees of our vendor partners. You’ll learn some basic facts about responsible gambling and the resources available for responsible play. The deadline to complete the training is March 13, 2026.

Responsible gambling education provides our team with tools to respond to common situations. Hopefully you never have to deal with scenarios like the ones shown in the training, but if you do, know that there are resources to help you and the person involved. And you can always talk to me if you have any questions.

There is no expectation to become a counselor to someone with a gambling problem or act as a cop or referee. But I do want you to know that it’s an issue we take very seriously. Operating responsibly is good business, and it’s the right thing to do--together.
